Why strip EXIF metadata before sharing
Photos from phones and cameras often carry EXIF data: the camera model, the shooting date and time, the software used, and frequently a GPS fix of exactly where the picture was taken. When you post that photo online, all of that travels with it unless you remove it first.
This tool reads the metadata so you can see it, then creates a new copy with the metadata stripped by re-encoding the image in your browser. The picture looks the same; the tracking data is gone. Because the work happens on your device, the original file is never uploaded.
